Hi, I am Anokhi

I am a Long Island-based videographer, dancer, and creative. My artistic gene comes from my mother. She was naturally creative and loved to draw and dance. (Fun Fact: She trained in Indian folk dance with the famous Bollywood director Sanjay Leela Bhansali for a year before he moved to the film industry).

Growing up, my world was filled with art classes, Indian and Western dance, poetry and storytelling, and competitive historical plays. I experimented with different forms of performance and fine arts throughout high school, always eager to learn something new. In 11th grade, I earned my Girl Scout Gold Award for a project dedicated to promoting the arts as a powerful tool for self-expression.

In college, while gaining experience marketing small businesses, campus organizations, and academic programs, I found myself drawn to communication science. I graduated from Stony Brook University in 2024 with a Bachelor of Science in Health Science and Mass Communication and am now pursuing my Master’s in Public Health at the same university.

Today, as I advance my career in public health, I carry my artistry with me. Videography and dance are not just creative outlets; they are an integral part of what keeps me grounded, fueling both my personal growth and my ability to tell stories that connect with others.
